Who knew my calling would be a candle maker? Not I. But wow what a journey to find out! I do many crafts (don't we all!) But I bounce around between them, doing a little bit of one craft and a little bit of another, until I started making soy candles. Here's how it started. I have always used lots of candles, I have more candle holders then I care to admit! But in all the years of burning candles I have always found lots of inconsistency. For example burning a pillar candle, or a candle in a jar and finding that once it is burning it only burns a inch around the wick or candles that are dipped in a color rather then colored all the way through, well you get the idea. So one day I thought to myself, since I spend so much money buying candles, why not try to make them? So I did. I decided on soy candles since they are well known for their very long burn time. And after some tooling, trial and error, and re-working I finally came up with the formula for the candles I make today! At first I was making candles only for myself. Then Christmas time was coming and I decided to make candles for everyone. A lot of my friends and family loved them so much that they convinced me to start listing them on Etsy with the items I already had available. And I am so glad they did! I just love making candles, and I never get bored of it! How surprised I was to find out I am a candle maker!
